Learn track racing – ride whatever bike you want!
The MN Cycling Center offers a unique grass track clinic for junior and adult racers, aged 12+. These individual sessions are condensed versions of our time-tested program which teaches the fundamentals of track cycling – but on grass. Our experienced coaches guide students through the basics of track racing racing tactics and more. Sessions will be held on a closed grass surface in the conveniently located Highland Park neighborhood of St. Paul.
What You’ll Learn
Students will learn track racing basics and upon completion will be prepared to race in simulated track races. Courses will cover:
- What is a velodrome?
- Fundamentals of track riding
- Fundamentals of group riding
- Pack riding strategy and practice including experience with close contact and movement within a pack of riders
- Race pace group riding
All this fun takes place on grass – a real throwback to the early days of track racing.
